Markings: On the lid GIESE in a cartouche in the lower left corner and ISER/LOHN on the right;

on the base GIESE in a cartouche in the lower right.

Long tobacco box with stamped motifs relating to Prussia’s involvement in the Seven Years’ War are typical of production from Iserlohn. Popular for their characteristic form, the boxes also served as tools of propaganda.
